How do you celebrate the 4th of July? With a bang!
Americans love to celebrate (especially in the South). We have a lot of pride and joy in our country and many personal freedoms that allow us to express these feelings. At the start of this in particular week we celebrated freedom. More specifically our nation’s independence from Britain and all who have fought to accomplish (and maintain) that. July 4th = Independence Day!
This year the hubby and I spent most of the day at my in-laws. They were working on some home repairs and didn’t finish until 8 or 9pm. But I happened to have a friend just down the road who was having a party so we got to join in some of the festivities. We were kinda late to the party but it was fun nonetheless.
As you can expect, it was a lot of laughing and chilling out on the lawn and burgers and hotdogs were on the grill.
Some of the guys were musicians so they decided to go into the garage and play a couple songs at one point.
And (of course) the night ended with shooting off the assortment of fireworks purchased.
I hope you all had a fun and safe week as well! Go ‘merica!
P.S. Feel free to post your holiday pictures or funny stories in the comments. Id love to see how everybody else’s 4th went! 🙂
